Passenger Activity - Mathematics "I am the passenger... and I ride and I ride..." Iggy Pop - The Passenger {Great tune in my humble opinion ~ Matt} Here's a thought - if two people are travelling to the same place, at the same time, in two separate cars then they are - in theory - pumping out twice as much pollution and causing more congestion than they need too. If more people made more shared journeys, then everybody receives the benefits. The roads are less congested, meaning that it will take less time to your destination. However, I am sure that you can think of some negative issues concerning car sharing. Firstly, it assumes that you have somebody going in the same direction as you at the same time (obviously!), but this is often not a problem when you think of how many people have to be at a place of work or at school all at the same time! ? |
