YourEnvironment offers an array of geotechnical services, which can be undertaken at the same time as any required contamination analysis (Phase 2 investigation), thus minimising the cost involved with sampling, including drilling, and mobilisation etc.

Our geotechnical assessment will provide you the confidence that your foundation is the right kind for the particular geology underlying your site. Each geotechnical site investigation is specifically designed to suit your requirements.

Our services include in-situ testing, profiling the soil as encountered during drilling to a full geotechnical report service. We also undertake foundation exposure pits, soakaway testing, California ratio bearing Tests (CBRs).   A brief summary of just some of the fieldwork and testing techniques YourEnvironment utilise are listed below;

Fieldwork:

In Situ Testing:

Other methods of testing and sampling are used depending on the soil type and conditions on site. A geotechnical site investigation is dependant upon site specific factors and as such will be designed specifically for your requirements.

Laboratory Testing is typically undertaken on cohesive soils i.e. clays, where an undisturbed sample may be retrieved. Such testing is not appropriate to cohesionless soils such as gravels.

Laboratory Testing:

Our geotechnical site investigations are carried out in accordance with current guidance such as British Standard Code of Practice for Site Investigations (BS 5930: 1999).

Reporting can be provided on a factual, or an interpretative basis, depending upon your requirements.
